Visiting Oscar Wilde's Grave.
I have officially accomplished one of my most personal and historical goals within my lifetime; visiting Oscar Wilde's grave in Paris.
Possibly one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited, the Père Lachaise Cemetery is an amazing place to explore. The gravestones, tombs and history within this place is mind-blowing, not to mention how picaresque the whole location is. I couldn't help but marvel as I walked the cobble streets contained within the walls of such a historical site.
After seeing various graves such as Jim Morrison, Eugene Delacroix and Honore de Balzac, the best was left until last, approaching Oscar Wilde's grave site deep within the cemetery.
The crowds of people were not as vast as expected, which was great as it made exploring the cemetery more relaxed. Oscar Wilde's grave was by far my favourite and I couldn't help but leave a little bit of myself on his grave stone, like many before me.
Adding my favourite Oscar Wilde quote upon the tomb stone, "A true friend stabs you in the front" will forever be apart of history, among Wilde's renowned location within the cemetery gates. (Accompanied by a signature red kiss among the hundreds spread all over the grave site).
On that note, I will end my swoony entry with a quote from the man himself;
"Art is the most intense mode of individualism that the world has known."

Nostalgia.
Loving these, especially the double exposure on the last image. I've been trolling through my old negatives which I just recently developed myself. Scanning took forever (3 hours) but it was worth it in the end.
